They are the appetiser of an attractive Autumn Fair, but also the reaffirmation of the young novilleros announced. A glimpse of the future of this art. And because they are the last novilladas of the year at Las Ventas, they are well worth attending if you want to witness first-hand where this spectacle is heading. Are you coming?
The 2025 Autumn Fair has scheduled two novilladas with picadors — a true test for the novilleros taking part, many of whom have already made a strong impression this season at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas.
These two events come full of interest. On the one hand, the company wanted to give a place to these young promises of the lower ranks; on the other, to recognise and reward them after their outstanding performances earlier this year in the same arena.
The most prominent and, at the same time, fairest of the two novilladas will be held on Friday, 10 October. On this occasion, the company has had the good sense to bring back the three novilleros who competed this past summer in the final of the Cénate Las Ventas competition.
They are Mexican Bruno Aloi, Spaniard Iker Fernández “El Mene”, and Peruvian Pedro Luis — three names that left a strong impression in the contest. That day, Aloi cut the only ear of the afternoon, while El Mene had already achieved the same in the earlier qualifying rounds.
However, it was the Peruvian Pedro Luis who left the deepest mark on Madrid’s afición, thanks to his authentic toreo, stripped of artifice, which made a lasting impact both in his debut and especially in the competition final.
The three of them will face a novillada from Fuente Ymbro, a prestigious and reliable iron that has produced many successful afternoons in this arena in recent years, even granting young novilleros the glory of being carried out on shoulders, such as Víctor Hernández or Álvaro Alarcón.

The other novillada of the fair will take place on Thursday, 2 October, with bulls from the Antonio López Gibaja ranch. The novilleros in charge will be Sergio Sánchez, Emiliano Osornio, and Ignacio Candelas.
Opening the bill is Sergio Sánchez, an experienced novillero from Extremadura, who already showed his maturity during the past San Isidro Fair. He will be followed by the Mexican Emiliano Osornio, a bullfighter with an interpretative finesse who hinted at his potential during his debut in Las Ventas last spring and has recently triumphed at the Feria de Arganda. Closing the bill is Ignacio Candelas, from Málaga, the newest of the three, who arrives with the clear aim of positioning himself for the increasingly close 2026 season.
With such line-ups, the last novilladas of the year at Las Ventas promise to be both a success and a foretaste of what is to come — not only for the novillero ranks, but for bullfighting as a whole. Not to be missed.
