Las Ventas Unveils the 7th Edition of Cénate Las Ventas

This summer, Las Ventas will once again bring together bullfighting and gastronomy with a new edition of Cénate Las Ventas, alongside the traditional night-time novice bullfighting series.

Cénate Las Ventas Brings Summer Nights Back to Life in Madrid

This summer, Las Ventas Bullring will once again become a meeting point for enthusiasts of both bullfighting and gastronomy. Madrid’s iconic arena has hosted the presentation of the seventh edition of Cénate Las Ventas, an initiative that has established itself as one of the capital’s most popular summer attractions.

Organised by Plaza 1 in collaboration with the Regional Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Interior of the Community of Madrid, the Madrid Academy of Gastronomy and the Madrid Wine Regulatory Council, the event will once again run alongside the traditional night-time novillada series, which takes place between late June and July.

A Project That Continues to Grow

During the presentation event, participating institutions highlighted the remarkable development of the initiative since its launch. The combination of bullfighting events and the promotion of locally produced food and drink from the Madrid region has helped create a format that attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Representatives of the Community of Madrid emphasised the work carried out to support both bullfighting and local producers, underlining the steady growth of an initiative that has become a key feature of Madrid’s summer calendar.

For its part, Plaza 1 stressed the importance of maintaining activity at Las Ventas beyond the San Isidro Festival. The objective is to reinforce Madrid’s status as a year-round bullfighting venue and provide additional attractions for fans during the summer months.

Quality Madrid Gastronomy Takes Centre Stage

The presentation included a culinary demonstration featuring certified products from the Community of Madrid. Visitors were given a preview of some of the dishes and flavours that will be available throughout the event.

Guests enjoyed a selection of creations prepared with high-quality local ingredients, offering a taste of the gastronomic experience that spectators will find during the novillada series.

The food market will be located in the upper gallery areas of Las Ventas and on the adjoining terraces, where local producers and Madrid-based businesses will showcase their specialities.

Five Nights of Novilladas at Las Ventas

The night-time novillada competition will once again be one of the main attractions for bullfighting fans. The qualifying rounds and the grand final will bring together some of the most promising young bullfighters seeking to make their mark in one of the world’s most demanding arenas.

The novilladas will begin at 9:00 pm and will take place on Thursday 25 June, 2 July, 9 July, 16 July and 23 July, when the final of the competition will be held.

In addition to the prestige that comes with success at Las Ventas, the overall winner will receive a significant boost to their career by securing a place in the forthcoming Autumn Fair (Feria de Otoño).

A Complete Experience for Fans and Visitors

With gates opening from 8:00 pm, visitors will have the opportunity to arrive early, explore the various food stalls and enjoy an experience that extends beyond the novillada itself.

The gastronomic areas will remain open until the early hours of the morning, transforming Las Ventas into a vibrant social and leisure venue where bullfighting culture and the flavours of Madrid come together across five consecutive evenings.
